Please remember to check tire pressures!
« on: November 21, 2006, 10:26:19 PM »
While Jim was over working on his bike, he borrowed my SV to run to the hardware store.  When I talked to him, he told me that it was difficult to turn my bike.  This evening I decided to check my tire pressures.  Both tires were dangerously low.  It was scary just riding to the gas station to put air in the tires.

I know you're supposed to check, among other things, tire pressures each time you ride.  I usually forget but I've learned a valuable lesson today and will be more careful. :-[
Do you like mochi?

Because when the screw comes out of your front tire at 65+mph on the 405 when you're on your way to work it's no fun :(

I was working on and riding Rika's GS-550 today. It felt a bunch better after the front pressure was taken from 14-psi to 32.  The rear-tire was almost the same.

It had been sitting for around four-months.

Be safe,

H~

The most used tool in my garage is a small portable air compressor. Uses a rechargable 12v battery and works great on bike tires.

Of couse, you still have to check the tire pressures - hint, hint Cammie :D
