Banana in  your tail bag?
« on: February 03, 2005, 05:22:00 PM »
They say bananas are almost the perfect food, especially for sustained, physical activity ie canyon carving.  But its hard to squeeze one into a tank bag or tail bag without having banana pudding after 200 miles.

Well here's the anwser to a banana lovers prayers.

I prepared myself - no liquids to be sprayed into the keyboard - and the link doesn't work (at least for me, just a blank screen)!!!

I'm not totally useless; I can be used as a bad example.

I'm not your type.  I'm not inflatable.

Therapy is expensive. Popping bubble wrap is cheap. You choose.

JC~double for me glad someone can find the right link to such a exciting item.

DMM~Mall of the weird? What’s that?

I found this info thru a nutrition for backpacking web site. In moderate weather a hiker can lose a lot of vital "stuff" thru sweating. Sports drinks do contain some of this "stuff" but the way I sweat, even in cool weather, I would need to drink gallons of gookinaid and still not keep up. Bananas happen to have a lot of the vital stuff in a very compact form. Problem is a banana bouncing around in a backpack will not make it a day in the wild. Thus the Banana Bunker, A godsend to all us heavy sweating backpacking motorcyclists  :D

Gentelmen Please :-[. ::)

I belive the ribs are to add flexibility. As you know no 2 bananas are the same size and shape. The bunker has to protect each unique banana.
