it's just the sub-frame, but yeah I'm just gonna have it replaced instead of hoping a weld keeps it together.  Thank you for the offer though.   :)

Bike is fixed and back home.  Here's the cracked sub-frame, and judging from the location (near the passenger peg mount and at the bottom), it's pretty apparent it was caused by the lateral pull of our unique tie-down methods.   :P  Oh well, it's fixed now.

Aw dude, that sucks.  I load two bikes all the time in truck. I tied two bikes together once and decided I didn't like it. We didn't have that happen though. The I-bolt into the middle of the truck bed is probably the easiest way. We don't have one so we put both head it and go through the rims. I generally put one bike on the rearstand while tying the other down. Then I tie the other down. You just gotta make sure that the rims are lined up so the spokes aren't getting in the way.
