Just an FYI, I go to Mototechnica in East LA for issues I can't figure out. I had similar issues on my bike as well, he diagnosed it as clogged carbs and took care of it for me at a reasonable price. They have very reasonable prices and the owner is very knowledgeable.

BTW, I haven't heard anyone mention Mobil 15W-50 for oil. It has been recommended to me by many people who've been doing this for much longer than I have. I use the Mobil 1 oil filter(M110) as well. I have heard great things about K&N filters as well. The great thing about the K&N filter is that it actually has a hole in it for saftey wiring if you are so inclined.

K&N also has the nut on it so you can unscrew with a socket instead of messing around with oil filter removers.
