Saturday and Sunday concensus?
« on: January 14, 2005, 02:30:17 AM »
well, we all wanna, right?  this is what i think has emerged:

saturday: doing 10YA's idea to go to tom's farms for breakfast, (in corona, right?) and then to the 76, which looks like fun.  this is down south.  the oak glen sounded ok to me too, but i think  some didnt want to ride a ways on the freeway for just a 60 mi ride to oak glen

thoughts?

sunday:  is pch ITSELF open? i saw april's post, but dn know what the california incline is, though it sounds like a mean mofo rollercoaster...can we meet at the infamous santa monica mcD's, and ride up pch, hit neptune's and see if any canyons are available (eg, decker, or even mulholland),  this would be shorter, bc i need to be in anaheim by 6.

more thoughts?

My understanding re: PCH is that the road itself is open until just south of oxnard.    Isn't California incline the road that we take to get from PCH back into santa monica?

For Saturday, shall we say a meet time at Toms Farms at 9 am?  Those meeting at Bob's could meet around 8:15 or so to arrive at Toms Farms by 9.  If this is the Toms Farms in Corona, it'll be easier for some to go straight to Toms Farms. What do y'all think?

It will sure be fun to ride again. Someone on the BB.org site suggested going around the block a few times when  you get started if you have not ridden in some time.  Might not be bad advice.  See y'all tomorrow.

Saturday to Tom's Farm sounds great to me. I like their food and it's reasonbly priced. I could go to Bob and Marie's at 8:15 AM or meet at Tom's at 9:00 AM. I need instructions to Bob and Marie's house.

I need the sunshine in the morning, I'm heading for the open road.

I won't be able to make it.

Have a great ride both days.

Trueblue has the link to Toms Farm Area code should be 951 (recent change) Meet at the Hamburger Place

Hideout has a recording saying they are open on the weekend.

Caltrans says:
SR 76
   [SAN DIEGO & IMPERIAL CO.'S]
NO TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS ARE REPORTED FOR THIS AREA.

No DMM  :(

I don't want to clean the house if I don't have to so let me know if you are coming here first.

All systems are go for ride ;)
