Let's go nuts and say it won't rain next weekend..

LET'S GO RIDING, DAMMIT!!!!

canyums, mulholland, ortega, kmart parking lot in torrance--whatever!!!!

WHO's WITH ME?

edit: given the state of the roads, i'm leaning towards ortega; plys, its a bit mroe south.  i heard that its got a slide near elsinore, but we could avoid that--we usually stop at hell's kitchen.

i am open to ideas--i think there's a lot of pent up demand for riding.  we heave smoe new people too, it seems.

huzzah for the sun gods!

Need to work on bike  :(   Through research I think I've isolated the problem to one or both of the diaphragms.

I'm calling big Ed on tuesday to see what he says.

If so I'm probably out, as I have no idea how to remove the carbs or where to get new diaphragms

riding?? whats that?? I think I may have done something like that in the distant past but my memory is hazy....

Shhh keep it quiet, if the evil weathermen hear of this they'll make it rain.

That said I'm on the bike if its clear, not sure where would be best cause I fully expect most canyon roads to be a mess after this much rain.
I need the sunshine in the morning, I'm heading for the open road.

I'm ready to ride. Mojo says no rain this coming Saturday. How about a ride to Tom's Farm for breakfast and then south on 15 to Hwy 76 east to the Hideout for a late lunch and then back on 78 north to the 15 fwy north and then home?

By the way, my wife and daughter have given permission for scoot day on Saturday.

I'd like to go but things are fairly intense at work just now.  I'll try and join you.

Sometimes asking if anyone is interested in a ride is like asking for them to donate an organ. They want to, but not so soooooooooooon!! Learning to quit at such a young age could lead to the ultimate quit, you know? C'mon!!!! Do you know this is a 3 day weekend? MLK Day on 01-17-05. So everyone in the free world should be off. I mean, "I have a dream....." Remember?  ;) ;) ;) ;) If no one signs up, I'm riding to Santa Maria.

I'm almost always up for adventure, even with very little notice beforehand.

Hhhummm........ Who quit the JT ride just as the going got tough? To have Salmon and asperagus while the non-quiters battled freezing temps and a 50  year snow storm? ;)

If the weather holds, I think I'm up for a ride on saturday.  I think if I don't ride soon, my bike will rust on me.   And I guess we will have to avoid all the canyon roads since they will be either destroyed or full of debris. :-/

Or 25 ft boulders :o

I do want to ride, the question is where. From everything I'm hearing the roads are a mess.

First of all I'm sorry for having used toe word "quit." I only used it to motivate riders to answer Peter's post about riding this up coming weekend. It was not intended to embarrass or hurt anyone's feelings. If it did, I am truly sorry.

Secondly, I did not leave our brothers and sisters during inclimate weather in our recent Joshua Tree ride. All along everyone who participated knew that I was only planning on riding Saturday. That snow storm caught us all by surprise early Sunday morning, not Saturday, long after I had arrived home and not while I was still out in the desert with the MO's.

Thirdly, I know I'm only a guest in this furum, so in the furure I will refrain from using words that might be interpreted as inflamatory. Sorry. Ciao!
