Scorpion Sports Helmet Field Trip
« on: January 06, 2005, 07:17:40 PM »
I'm interested in purchasing a second helmet.  I've read positive reviews regarding the Scorpion helmets. The warehouse/sales facility for Scorpion Sports is located in Lake Forest.

I contacted their sales manager and asked him if they would hold an open house on the weekend for us to try on the helmets, learn about their features and perhaps purchase a helmet.  Since they are in our backyard, I thought this would give us a unique opportunity to explore the helmets firsthand.  Scorpion has graciously agreed to the visit.

If y'all are interested, I need a proposed date and a head count.  After the visit to Scorpion, we can have lunch (of course) and then ride Ortega.  What do you guys think?

I don't NEED a helmet... but I'm always on the lookout for a good deal.... besides I'm up for the ride down there....

Wait, you mean THIS weekend? The weekend of unholy DEATH from the sky? I'll cage it if I can go, but not sure if I can do it since I'm supposed to be fixin my wife's car so she can stop screwing up, uh I mean DRIVING mine. :)

I am like Peter, just bought a helmet, but I am always ready to stick my head into one or two just for the fun of it.

Sounds fun to me, though I won't give a solid yea or nay until a date is chosen.

I'm in. Saturdays work best for me. I wasn't planning on buying a new helmet for awhile but with the recent accident I'm in the market.

I like my Shoei RF-1000 but I'm open to see what Scorpion has to offer.

Let's plan this for late January/early February.  I have the RF1000 as well and think it's a great helmet.  But, I would like a contingency helmet, especially with a track day coming up soon.
