i had a great day, thanks everyone for helping break me in.  it went pretty much like people had told me it would:  a terrifying first session, with each session getting progressively better, up to the point where my legs and contact lenses wouldn't let me out for the last session even though my heart wanted to be out there.  it's just too bad that i have to wait a couple of months before we can get out there again.

it was good to get the suspension adjusted there too, even more surprising that i could actually tell the difference.  i had half thought that i wouldn't notice anything due to a mix of marketing hype and my own ignorance, but the turn-in was quicker and stability while leaned over was definitely improved.

mark, your grill is the best.  jim, loading your SV in a truck is truly terrifying.  and of course, thanks to ray for doing all the manual labor in building the chock.

Glad that everyone had a good time!  Judd, I'd say you did very well for your first day.  I can say with resolute authority that you and John both did much better than I did on my first day ... or even my first two, possibly three days.  It took me a really long time to get as comfortable as you guys looked out there on your first time out!

I eagerly await John's thoughts and reaction.  :)  Cheers to John, as well!  Very relaxed, looking very good right off the bat.

The track is so much fun I could see myself doing it exclusively.  I would then probably pick up a scooter in a street bike's absence.  ::)

First let me say, that was a ton of fun!   ;D

Well, I've been wondering about the "addictiveness" of the track...  I didn't realize how that works until after my first track day as I can't stop picturing how I should enter one of those corners, or fly around the bowl into the straightway...  I guess I can't wait to get out there again.

By the way, great pics!  I agree, many of those pics look as good if not better than the pros.

Sorry, I've been slow to post because I am miserably sick.  :(  Fortunately I didn't feel too bad on Sat. and enjoyed the day with all you guys and gals.  I barely survived yesterday and stayed home sick today.  Hoping to get over this before Thanksgiving!

Thanks Mark for making it possible to get my bike out there and making it easy for me to pick it up!  You and Carla were great!  Wish we could've gone to Chili's with all of you but had to get home since I have to work on Sundays.  ;)
