We're iffy...O went down yesterday on the on ramp to the 55 freeway.  He thought he was going over water at an appropriate speed.  Turned out to be cooking grease that a catering truck routinely pours out at that spot every morning.  Another rider stopped to help him and told him that he frequently sees the people on the truck dumping the oil every morning.

O went tumbling.  He's ok.....spained ankle, scrapes and bruises. His bike is going to need a lot of tlc.  We'll have to see how it goes.
