Just a quick hello. This is Irmi (Tricia's Mom) I decided that since we are starting over with a clean slate I would pick a screen name. I couldn't think of one when I joined BB
What's with all this RAIN and COLD we are having??
Hope everyone is doing well.

Irmi, welcome. I'm glad you made it over here. How is the riding progressing? I hope you can join us soon on one of the local rides.
Take care,
Cammie

Hi Cammie
Thanks for the welcome. The riding is NOT progressing, grrrrrrrr for one reason or another I have not been on the bike in about 2 months. First a couple of drops and I got all wigged out so I decided to take a little break from it. Then Mike got a cold which just hung on forever, then I came down with it. Also getting ready for the holidays and feeling like I should'nt be out there on a bike with all those holiday shoppers who on a normal day don't watch what they are doing or where they are going. And now all this rain and cold!!! But one of these days the sun will come out and it will be warm again and I plan on getting out there again. I suppose I will have to start over by then. But I have hope.

Hey Irmi,
Let me know when you are ready to ride again. My friend Terrie is also learning to ride. When you're ready, we'll ride over to get you and go for a short trip on surface streets. We know of some fairly good parking lots in the central part of OC where we can go and practice.
I know you have several riders in the family. But if you're anything like me, sometimes there is less pressure when you're not practicing in front of loved ones. Tricia has my number.
Take care,
Cammie

Now I have to learn a new name! Well, at least this site seems to be the new home to several of the folks I have corresponded with. Great to see you here. Hope you will be able to get back out there when the rain stops. I think we have had more than our share of the wet stuff.
Not much new here, just letting the wrist heal up which is going pretty good, still sore a bit.
Need to get out and do some riding as incentive to work out a bit. Ate too much over the past couple weeks and it is piling up.
I found a quote I like: I want to die like my grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep, not like the screaming passengers in his car.

Ouch Richard... did you take a spill? Hope everything is OK and you and the bike suffered minimal damage.

Yep, I did not understand how anyone could fall of a bike that was not really moving...I found out. Took on a driveway that as I approached turned out to be steeper than anticipated and in the wrong gear. Bike stalled, I grabbed brake, down we went. Joe Rocket jacket save the day except for a slight bruised hip and a pulled/sprained wrist. Bike minimal damage, some scrapes to the muffler and scratched turn signal but nothing broken at all and rode home fine. Nice to have a used bike, I can afford the muffler replacement if needed for looks, but really all relatively OK. Thanks for asking.
Hope this was not too much info.

There is more definition and description in your new handle than just your name.

good choice. I'm not sure mine makes any sense to anyone but me but at least I can remember it.
I rode around over in your area when I was out a couple sundays ago when no rain. Went down La Palma all the way to Imperial and back on Orangethorpe, up Van Buren to some street back to Rose. I was having a great time out there.
Soon as rain stops I will be back around somewhere. What really amazed me Monday, on the freeway saw one motorcycle, a sport type go whizzing past me, IN THE RAIN! I actually slowed a bit thinking this guy could go sliding, but he just kept heading up the 57 like it was dry and clear. Amazing. More nerve than brains maybe or it was his only mode of transportation.
