1st ride 2009

Anyone up for a ride this Saturday to ring in 2009?  It should warm up nicely by then.   

I'm thinking of something easy.  Maybe ACH to Nuke's if it's not too cold and the road's okay, or taking the back roads to Ojai.

Hmmmmm ... hopefully I am IN for this ride.  Ojai and Malibu sound more enticing to me than ACH but only because of the snow/ice that could possibly be up there.  Since I moved to Long Beach it's been straight, flat roads for the couple of short rides I've gotten out for.     Looking forward to some twisties for sure.

Maybe Malibu would be good; not too long of a ride and closer for Mark.  We could do a less-crowded route and eat at the Canyon Grocery/Grill thing.

Looks like we'll have a good turnout!  We can change the Latigo part; I'm beginning to figure out that I'm the only person here that likes that road.  We can take a leisurely cruise down Kanan back to PCH, or just double back on the before-lunch route.

BTW I heard that Shell station is closed?  Is that true?  Should we pass around cell phone numbers in case we can't meet up there?
