Welcome to the SCLR Motorcycle ForumAn easy going bunch of So Cal sport riders
If you run it dry, it will take a bit of time to fill up the float bowls again. So, if you had ran it dry and you have stopped, switch it to reserve, and then crank it for like 10 sec, then let it rest, then repeat again. Should start up within 3 tries. The reserve is the ninja's fuel gauge. You should make sure it works (might be clogged). And also have your brother practice switching it while riding. Don't want to learn that on the go when it happens to you the first time. (Happened to me the first time on the freeway too, and I was on the 110 between Pasadena and LA, and it was my first freeway ride. Definately not fun).
