Shanghai
zerog:
Finally saw a bit of sun this afternoon, so I snaped a few pictures from the apartment with my cell-phone. Sorry about the picture quality, the camera on my phone sucks, and the lens is kinda dirty.

My new (to me) bike here in Shanghai:
1-speed
0.5 hp (just an estimate, haven't dynoed it yet, and this number varies depending on a bunch of other factors :))
top speed: I think i have gotten it to maybe 20 mph, but it doesn't have a speedo, so I'm not sure
mods: All purpose utility basket (front-mount)
PS: shocks are for wimps. All I got are 2 springs under the seat ;D

Outside the little local market where we buy our daily groceries. I thought you would be able to see the scooters better, but I was wrong. All those ones where you see a little luggage box on the back are scooters. The plastic bag over the seat is so that if it rains and you get to the bike, just take off the bag, and voila, dry seat.

This is a little promenade by Fudan University (probably one of the 3 most famous universities in China).
I also wanted to take a picture inside the market that I mentioned earlier where you have big salted fish hanging off the ceiling in the fish section, and lots of meat hanging in the meat section. However, the indoor lighting was a bit too poor for my phone.

And of course, the funny English translations.
This is a sign at the Shanghai train station for the place where you can pay to store your luggage (it's not for lost & found).
